5-января-2018 – Начало зимы в Москве в 2018 году было тёплым и сырым. Снег выпадал и таял, часто лил дождь. В ночь на 5 января выпал снег. Мы с Александром Мищенко утром отправились на поиски точки конфлюенции 55°N 38°E. Движение по городу было медленным из-за снежной «каши». От Ивантеевки мы свернули к дачным участкам. Встретили несколько предупреждений – «проезд по пропускам» и «тупик». Один из шлагбаумов оказался открытым и нам удалось проехать в дачный массив. Машину припарковали в товариществе «Восход-2» в 420 метрах от слияния. Нашли проход в лес между дачных участков. Снега в лесу не много, он мокрый, скрывает глубокие лужи, много воды. Неожиданно путь преградила река Любосеевка. Возможно летом это маленький ручеёк, но сейчас она разлилась. Ширина около 20 метров, глубина выше колена. Поиск перехода по остаткам льда и поваленным деревьям не дал результата. В этот момент начались звонки из дома, Александру пора кушать и спать. Моему напарнику 4 года. Всего пройдено 1200 метров. Нам удалось подойти к слиянию на расстояние 84 метра. Поели мороженого в кафе, в машине на обратном пути Александр немного поспал.

Точка расположена в Щёлковском районе Московской области, в 4км северо-восточнее Ивантеевки. Вокруг много дачных кооперативов, въезд в них может быть ограничен.

5-Jan-2018 – It was warm and muggy in Moscow at the beginning of winter in 2018. Snow used to fall and melt; it was often raining as well. Snow had come down by the eve of January 5. Aleksandr Michchenko and I started our journey towards the 55°N 38°E confluence early morning. The city traffic was slow due to the snow slush. After passing Ivanteevka, we headed to summer cottages. A few warning signs such as “permission required” and “dead end” appeared on our way. One of the gate arms was open, so we could enter a cottage block. We parked at “Voshod 2” parking lots, which is 420 meters away from the confluence. We found the path leading to woods between private cottage premises. Although there was no too much snow in the woods, it was wet, camouflaging deep puddles. There was much water. Suddenly, the Luboseevka river intercepted our way. Perhaps, it might look like a small brook in summer but that time the waters were out. It was about 20-meter wide and over the knee. We could not find the reliable ice bridges or/and downed trees to cross it over. At that time, I got a few calls from home to arrange the meal and sleep for Aleksandr. My yokemate was 4 years old. We covered total 1200 meters and were 84 meters away from the confluence. We ate ice-cream in a café. On our way home, Aleksandr took a nap in the car.

The confluence is located in Schelkovsky district of Moscow region, 4 km north-east from Ivanteevka. There are a lot of cottage cooperative associations around with a possible restricted access.
